In 2015, I produced and directed a video starring President Obama. It received over 60M views on Facebook, and drove record traffic the healthcare.gov site.

At the time, the White House was eager for people to sign up for health insurance via the site, and I worked with the president’s team to come up with an effective video concept.

My goal was to make something that felt like a cultural moment. Stills from the video made the front page of newspapers around the world, gifs from it went viral, and it effectively ended the popular “Thanks, Obama” meme.
